British Pianist and Producer, Alex Wilson, relocates to the Zürichsee.
The creator of hits such as the salsa version of Ain't Nobody, the soul-salsa anthem Show Me and the latin-jazz tracks Anglo-Cubano & Antonio, Alex is moving his base from London to Switzerland.
He is a seasoned salsero, having released 6 albums and travelled to over 50 countries to perform his music and has accompanied salsa stars such as Cheo Feliciano, Adalberto Santiago, Tito Gomez, Tito Allen and Maelo Ruiz.
2009 was a very busy year for Alex, having performed at London's famous Ronnie Scott's jazz club and Glastonbury Festival with his Salsa con Soul Orchestra as well as touring in Tunisia, Latvia, Ukraine and Germany with top UK saxophonist, Courtney Pine and launching a new African-Latin project Mali Latino, featuring kora master Madou Sidiki Diabaté.
Back in the world of salsa, his latest album Salsa con Soul has just been nominated for a Songlines 2010 Music Award.
Alex is currently developing a dancer's guide to the music which is a book/CD to be published in both German and English in the first part of 2010. The release will be accompanied by 'musicality' workshops in Switzerland and other countries.
In January Alex will take up an 'Artist Residency' at the prestigious Aldeburgh Music Centre in the UK followed by a trip in February to Cairo to collaborate with jazz veteran Yehia Khalil for the British Council. He is a committed educator and will continue to deliver specialist music projects to primary schools in the UK.
In Zürich, he will continue his work composing music for television, performing as a pianist and is currently making contacts with artists in the area with a view to new production projects.

Der britische Pianist und Produzent Alex Wilson ist seit kurzem am Zürichsee wohnhaft.
Alex Wilson, der Schöpfer von Hits wie zum Beispiel die Salsa Version des Ain‘ t Nobody, die Soul-Salsa Hymne Show Me und die Latin-Jazz Tracks Anglo-Cubano & Antonio, hat seine Basis von London in die Schweiz verlegt.
Er ist ein erfahrener Salsero. Alex hat 6 Alben produziert und ist in über 50 Ländern gereist, um seine Musik zu performen. Er hat Salsa Stars wie zum Beispiel Cheo Feliciano, Adalberto Santiago, Tito Gomez, Tito Allen und Maelo Ruiz begleitet.
2009 war ein sehr ausgefülltes Jahr für Alex. Er spielte zusammen mit seinem Salsa con Soul Orchestra im berühmten Ronnie Scott Jazz Club von London und tourte zusammen mit dem britischen Top Saxofinisten Courtney Pine in Tunesien, Lettland, der Ukraine und in Deutschland. Er Lancierte ein neues African-Latino Projekt Mali Latino mit dem Meister der Kora Madou Sidiki Diabaté.
Zurück in der Welt des Salsa ist sein letztes Album Salsa con Soul nun für einen Songlines 2010 Musik Award nominiert worden.
Alex entwickelt momentan einen Tanz Führer zur Musik, ein Buch mit CD, welches in der ersten Jahreshälfte 2010 in deutscher und englischer Sprache herauskommen wird. Der Release wird von „Musikalitäts“ Workshops in der Schweiz und in anderen Ländern begleitet.
Im Januar wird Alex eine ‚Artist Recidency‘ am angesehenen Aldeburgh Musik Center in England übernehmen. Im Februar folgt eine Reise nach Kairo, wo Alex zusammen mit Jazz Veteran Yehia Khalil für das British Council arbeiten wird. Als erfahrener Musikpädagoge wird er weiterhin spezielle Musikprojekte in Grundschulen in England durchführen.
In Zürich wird er seine Arbeit fortsetzen, Musik fürs Fernsehen komponieren und Piano Konzerte geben sowie Kontakte zu Künstlern der Gegend pflegen im Hinblick auf neue Produktionen.
